Energy Hygiene Workshop

This is a one-day, hands-on experience that introduces you to simple, practical tools for tending your personal energy field — so you can move through the world with greater clarity, ease, and a deeper sense of yourself.

We are liminal beings — part physical, part non-physical — and we are in constant, often unconscious exchange with the energies, emotions, thoughts, and influences of the world around us. This workshop will help you understand those influences, recognize what belongs to you and what doesn't, and develop daily practices to clear, protect, and restore your own energetic space. This workshop is designed for you to become empowered with a personal toolkit of practices that you can use on your own, whenever you need.

No prior experience with shamanism or energy work is required. Some practices draw on shamanic methods such as shamanic journeying (a light, altered-state, inner experience guided by Carrie’s drumming).

Over the course of the day, you will explore how to:

·      Tune into your body's signals and recognize your personal signs of energetic congestion

·      Befriend and communicate with your own body as a trusted source of wisdom and guidance

·      Release accumulated energies, absorbed emotions, and thought forms that aren't truly your own

·      Care for the energetic doorways of your body that regulate what you take in and what you screen out

·      Connect with an inner aspect of yourself that guards your mental, emotional, and spiritual space

·      Identify and gently release energetic ties to people, places, and situations that are draining your vitality

There will be morning and afternoon breaks and a one-hour lunch break. You’re welcome to bring your own lunch or visit nearby restaurants in historic downtown Frederick, MD.


Muscle Recovery and Yoga classes with Cia.

A slow flow gentle practice to engage the parasympathetic nervous system with breath control, body scans, and ending with an extended savasana that includes the rejuvenating practice of yoga nida (yogic sleep). All levels welcome. 

Beginners Shamanic Journeying with Carrie. Alternate Thursdays.

This class is for people who are new to or curious about shamanic journeying! We each have the ability to personally connect with a divine support system which is available to us at all times. The shamanic journey is one of the ways we can access our spiritual guidance through direct revelation and has been an empowering practice relied upon for 40,000 years. During a shamanic journey, drumming is used to help shift youinto a trance state where you can meet your compassionatehelping spirits and ask to receive guidance, wisdom and healing.

The Feldenkrais® Method is a somatic, or body-oriented, intervention designed to help people reconnect with their bodies and learn ways to move with greater efficiency. It may help a person increase vitality, coordination, and achieve overall improved well-being. The Feldenkrais® Method also clarifies the self-image as it helps to generate greater sensitivity to everything we experience. It allows us to understand our bodies in ways that previously were inaccessible.

Medical Qi Gong is a practice with breath and movement. It may benefit immune response, balance hormones, align chakras, and allow for more flow within life. As the basis for martial arts, this form is very similar to tai chi. When practiced, it can be used anytime for protection, organizing and aligning energies, and flowing every day with life in a harmonious way
