Mari’s yoga journey began at the age of six, by learning to do handstands against a wall in a small donation-based yoga studio in downtown Portland, Oregon. She continues to invert herself and sometimes even her students in carefully crafted yoga practice. Coming from a dance background, she thoroughly enjoys choreographing classes that flow, allowing students the freedom to express themselves on their mats and honor their bodies. We use poses to get in touch with our bodies, and tap into the internal innate teacher we each have inside of us.
Mari's first 200-hour Vinyasa yoga teacher training was in New York City in 2011. In 2013, she completed a second 200-hour advanced Hatha teacher training in Chennai, India. Upon her return from India, she began her Pilates mat and reformer certification in 2014.  In 2016 she graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health with a Masters of Science in Yoga Therapy and a 500-hour yoga teacher training, and is a Certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists(C-IAYT). Her next training was for the CoreAlign and then MoTR in 2019.  Her plan is to complete her comprehensive Pilates certification post-COVID.

Katie Giarth is a Guild-Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and Level One Medical Qi Gong Teacher.

In 2003, she was diagnosed with a number of chronic conditions. By 2005, she was unable to continue college education and was bedridden. It took her years to come across the Feldenkrais® Method, but once she did, she felt like she could truly make the impossible possible.

In addition to recovery, the Feldenkrais® Method helped her to improve the things she was already great at before she'd become ill, like Yoga, Qi Gong and dance. It gave her her life back, and more! She is so grateful to have stumbled across this Method.

She decided to become a Practitioner and studied for a total of six years. I also continue to study and do trainings. In addition, she have two children she spends much of her time with. She also teach medical Qi Gong and is interested in cooking and nutrition. She keeps active and continues to practice the Method that has given so much back to  her, working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
